As part of the implementation of the INUA PAGBA Project, Sung Foundation conducted a series of community durbars and focus group discussions across all selected communities in the Yendi Municipality and Mion District.

These engagements served as an important entry point for the project, bringing together traditional leaders, women, youth, and other key community stakeholders to introduce the project and foster dialogue on critical issues affecting women and girls.
The durbars created a platform for open community-wide discussions on gender-based violence, child marriage, and the general wellbeing of women and girls. Participants shared experiences, identified key challenges, and discussed the roles that individuals and community structures can play in addressing these issues.

In addition, focused group discussions were held with specific groups to allow for deeper engagement and understanding of community dynamics, perceptions, and existing response mechanisms. These sessions provided valuable insights that continue to inform the design and implementation of project activities.
The strong participation and openness demonstrated during these engagements reflected a growing willingness within communities to confront harmful practices and work collectively towards safer and more supportive environments for women and girls.
Through these initial engagements, the INUA PAGBA Project has laid a solid foundation for sustained community involvement, ownership, and action in addressing gender-based violence across the Yendi and Mion areas.
