As part of the INUA PAGBA Project, Sung Foundation took the conversation on gender justice and the protection of women and girls beyond the communities through radio discussions in Yendi and Mion.
The discussions, hosted on Dasuma Radio in Yendi on 14th May, 2026, and on the 21st of May, 2026, at Radio Zoya in Mion, provided a platform for women representatives from the participating communities to share their experiences, perspectives, and messages on issues affecting women and girls.

The women engaged listeners on key issues including gender-based violence, child marriage, women’s leadership, and the importance of creating safer and more supportive communities for women and girls. Their participation demonstrated the growing confidence of women to speak openly about issues that affect their lives and to advocate for positive change within their communities.
The radio engagements also created an opportunity to reach a wider audience with messages on prevention, community responsibility, and the need for collective action to address harmful practices and violence against women and girls.

Through these discussions, women were not only participants in the project but also became voices for change, contributing to broader community awareness and encouraging families, leaders, and other stakeholders to take action.

The radio discussions form part of Sung Foundation’s efforts under the INUA PAGBA Project to strengthen women’s voices, promote gender justice, and foster community-led action towards safer and more inclusive communities.
